Sexual energy is the roots of life and it’s the foundation of your health. Once you understand this, you’ll always be sovereign & free.

The jade egg comes from ancient China and can help you stimulate your sexual energy and boost your overall health & vitality.

The jade egg blends ancient wisdom with contemporary self care. It’s an empowering approach to the most intimate part of yourself.

Origins & Symbolism of the Jade Egg

The jade egg originates from the Imperial Courts of China from over 2000 years ago. These were originally very closely guarded secrets and the teachings were transmitted by Taoist priestesses to queens and concubines.

These women were also instructed in ‘the arts of the bedchamber’ or Taoist sexual alchemy and had notable signs of longevity, wisdom, beauty and radiance.

Jade was revered in ancient China - it was seen as more valuable than gold. And even in current day standards, rare jade can fetch higher prices than gold in auctions.

Jade was synonymous with yin, femininity, the moon. Rather than just being a gemstone it was a symbol of longevity and virtue.

It’s a very hard stone, meaning it's suitable for carving. The egg itself is a symbol of the feminine, potency and fertility, and its shape & size lent to internal use.

With its cultural prominence transcending time and captivating beauty, jade continues to enchant admirers.

Benefits of the Jade Egg

Many women who use the jade egg report within a short period of time:

  • Increased libido
  • More powerful orgasms
  • Increased lubrication
  • Improved tone of the pelvic floor
  • Increased sensitivity of the vaginal tissue

Misconceptions of the Jade Egg practice

There has been criticism in mainstream media of the jade egg as a faux spiritual practice with no evidence of it as an ancient tradition.

But what these critics have failed to clock is that it was an oral tradition and only recently has been written down in western terms and made available to modern seekers.

Also these alchemy practices were considered magical and they needed to be cloaked in words of secrecy for fear of retribution by patriarchal Confucianists. Much of these traditional practices were written as poetry, in mysterious verse, filled with symbolisms and euphemisms that only a true practitioner could decipher.

This is why when you apply Western logic to Eastern wisdom it doesn’t compute.

But indeed, the witch hunts continue. How far we’ve come!

Essentially the jade egg works as a weight, and there is much research that backs up the use of vaginal weights for women’s health.

For many women the jade egg is a sacred approach to vaginal weights. It’s a more mindful, embodied, feminine way - typically done with intention and ritual. Whereas vaginal weights in clinical settings can be prescribed & used in very mechanical methods, devoid of any connection to arousal and sexual Qi. The jade egg, for many, offers a more holistic approach.

Some women are concerned if they have a hypertonic (overly tense) pelvic floor that using a jade egg could create more tension. And sure, if used incorrectly it can!

But the essence of the jade egg practice is that to receive the egg inside you need to fully relax the muscles at the entrance of the vagina. The PC (pubococcygeus) muscle over contracting is what typically causes difficulty or pain with penetration (vaginismus) and inhibits the flexibility of the pelvic floor.

Overly tight pelvic floor muscles can lead to a whole host of annoying symptoms - difficulties with urination (e.g. leakage, frequent urination ), bowel movements  (e.g. constipation, discomfort when emptying bowel) and sexual function (e.g. painful sex, difficulty with arousal).

However, when you learn to use the jade egg correctly, it has the ability to both support the relaxation of your muscles and develop dexterity of the pelvic floor - exactly what you need for the orgasmic response.

I’ve taught the jade egg practice to physiotherapists & midwives, to nurses and therapists - all of whom support my embodied approach, steeped in a Taoist lineage.

So trust yourself and what feels right for your body.

Source a good quality stone

Truth: There’s a lot of fake jade out there! Fake eggs (often marble) are dyed and not suitable for internal use. These inferior quality stones are softer stone and porous, making them unhygienic for internal practice as they can harbour bacteria.

The jade eggs in my store are made from the highest quality nephrite jade, they’re non-porous, making them hygienic and safe for this intimate practice.

They’re hand-carved and come guaranteed that no chemicals or toxins are used in creating them. Nephrite jade is usually a deep dark green colour. They’re specially drilled for advanced Taoist practice.

And just to note: the jade egg is not an alternative or substitute for medical treatment or care. If you have a physical, emotional or mental health condition, please consult your appropriate health care professional first.

With heart,

The jade egg is a great teacher of how to listen to your body and how to soften into receptivity.

Far too many women have experienced penetrative sex when they weren't fully ready. It’s not your fault or your partner’s - we weren’t taught the skills to know and listen to the subtle language of our bodies.

The jade egg is an invitation to drop softly inwards, listen intently to your body and know your readiness to receive inside.

In my Feminine Sexual Alchemy programme, I guide you how to use the jade egg. The next one starts in January 2025 - it just happens once per year.
